North Walsham v Hempnall
Hempnall's game at North Walsham was called off due to a wet pitch, and at least it will give Rob Browne and co a little longer to recover from their injuries and knocks they have been struggling with over the past few weeks. This cancellation did give the First Team Mangement the opportunity to to run their eye over the Reserves.
Hempnall Reserves 1 Thorpe Rovers 1
For this game, even the Hempnall pitch was very wet ,but after a lot of deliberation we finally decided to allow the game to go ahead. Playing against the first team of Thorpe Rovers it was always going to be a difficult game and this was it prove to be.
Manager Paul Sprong had to rearrange his team due to unavailability and gave a debut to Tom Fisher.
With very few efforts on target a drawn was on the cards from the start. Thorpes' first attempt on goal resulted in a bad injury to keeper Matthew Ducker who had to leave the field of play to be replaced by Jon Osborne.
Hempnall were the first to score through Jon King. Hempnall then had further chances but failed to capitalise only to see Thorpe equalise in the closing minutes of the game.

The Hempnall A Team, after their recent good form, did not perform to their usual standard. Although the scoreline did flatter the Costessey team the Hempnall team for once lost their scoring touch. In general the Managers were pleased with their teams game especially as it contains several players still in their teens. Even their leading scorer only reached the age of seventeen last week.Good news is that the team are currently top of their section in the League Cup. Recent signing, another sixteen year old scored their goal.
