Dersingham 5 Hempnall 1
Hempnall, writes Ray Youngman, after last weeks fine victory against Acle, travelled the long journey to Dersingham on a cold afternoon and came away with nothing. The game started well with both teams working hard but it was Dersingham who took the lead after Hempnall had had two good chances to be ahead themselves.
There was a lot of open play from both teams and the score remained at 0 - 1 for a long time before Dersingham scored again.
Hempnall continued to work hard all to no avail, plus they felt they should have won a penalty when Rob Browne was brought down when clear on goal.
On eighty minutes the game looked to be all over at 0 - 2, when it got worse for Hempnall as they conceded a third goal just before the ninety minutes were up, and two more in injury time.
Tom Amis in his first game scored the Hempnall goal. Dersingham are good side but on their own admitance the scoreline was a little flattering.
Hempnall Reserves 0 Martham 2
Hempnall Reserves playing at home to high flying Martham suffered from the age old problem of not being able to score goals and at the end of the day finished up losing a game they could well have easily won comfortably. The game as usual was played in a good spirit and was well refereed by Mr Haines.
Hempnall A 2 Sprowston Beehive 3
Hempnall A playing at Saxlingham against Sprowston Beehive in a game which can only be described in the words of David Pointer as very entertaining and full of some very good football from both teams. Andy Guy scored both Hempnall goals.
Sadly during the game some cars were broken into and several valuables stolen.
