Hempnall travelled to Gorleston for their first ever league game. The newly formed team faced a baptism of fire against a well-organised Rangers team. Robertson took the task of keeper and performed well with Man of the Match, Stearman solidly defending in front of him. Glanfield and Tyler held the midfield with Vale and Sawyer scoring a goal apiece up front. A great start with lots to learn for this enthusiastic, lively team.

U15 Waveney A 0 Hempnall 15Hempnall travelled to Waveney for their second game of the season, missing three taking part in the Norfolk Trials. Waveney struggled with only ten men and, despite a gallant effort, were dominated by Hempnall. Lilley and Craske up front worked well, with Lilley finding the net five times, including three excellent long-range shots. Craske took his hat-trick well and assisted on at least two other occasions. Blazey and Mortimer took two apiece, with Stratton, Sauverin and Gilbert all finding the net to make the victory complete. New signing, Brown was solid at the back, pairing up with another new signing, Witham, in defence. Robinson’s excellent performance at right back secured him Man of the Match.
