Hempnall Reserves 3 Acle Reserves 1

Hempnall Reserves, at home to highly placed Acle Reserves were boasted by new signing Sooy Sloggett a young lad recently joining us from Scole.

With a few players also srenghthening the team it was the management were confident of gaining something from the game and it turned out to be one of their better performances of the season.

On a dry afternoon it was Hempnall who did most of the running and took the lead through Lee Emmetts fine header only to see Acle miss a couple of easy chances to put themselves in the driving seat. Two well worked goals from the speedy Richard Leather gave Hempnall the three points so badly needed.

Sonny made a very confident debut and certainly looks a future first team player.

Matthew Atkins was very solid at the heart of the defence playing along side the experienced Owen Southgate. Tom Norman worked hard in midfield and is improving in every game.

I must say its not very often I get the chance to watch the Reserves and I was impressed by what I saw at this game.
