Report By Jamie Bennett (Joint Sunday team manager)

Saturday, 29th September 2018, 3PM, at Heath Road

Away Match, Central & South Norfolk League Division 4 - 2018 - 2019

Win, 4 - 2

Hempall Reserves visited Hockering Reserves, who they beat 3-1 in the reverse fixture the week before.

Hempnall started well, and for the first 25 minutes, were dominating.

Ashley Land scored in the 20th and 23rd minute. Hempnall were attacking well, with great runs from Tyree Poll-White and Alex Chapman on the wings, but the game was fairly even for a while, and Hockering then came back with a goal just before half time.

The second half saw Hockering fight back, then the referee gave what appeared to the Hempnall contingent a very harsh penalty which was converted.

2-2 and game on.

Hempnall were not discouraged, and kept battling hard, determined to gain the win, and it came via Ashley Land again who scored his hat-trick goal from a free kick, an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

Hempnall still carried the game to the opposition, everybody putting in a good shift.

Hempnall were awarded another free-kick, which Jack Thompson took, lobbing the keeper for the fourth and decisive goal.

A good team performance by all today, we are looking forward to maintain the unbeaten run next week away at Colkirk in the Cup.
