Hempnall welcomed Newton Flotman to Bungay Road for the local Derby.

Hempnall were without Clitheroe (Away) and Potter (Banned) but had Kelvin
Willimott for the day so still fielded a strong side.

Prior to the match, the management team highlighted the need for Hempnall
to match Newton Flotman's work rate but this appeared to fall on deaf ears as Hempnall
started slowly allowing Flotman to play and it was no surprise when Newton took the
lead.

This seemed to be the wake up call Hempnall needed as they started to move the ball
quicker and got tighter their opponents.
Goals from Kingo and Lee Barrett took their chances to make the score 2-1 at half time.

HT :2-1

Manager Potter was not happy at half time and the players for one of the first times
this season were left in no doubt that the performance was not good enough.

Hempnall started much more brightly in the second half and created numerous
chances, with Lee Barrett, Gav Whitting and Kingo going close.
It was no surprise when Lee Barrett added a third and minutes from the end
Kingo was upended in the box and Marc Garrod (the new penalty taker after Dom's
conversion at Marlingford) slotted the penalty home.

FT : 4-1

A good fight back against a weakened Newton Flotman team keeps the pressure on
Foulsham.
