Anglian Combination D3 » Reserves v Aylsham » Home Loss » 1-3 | League Table
With the first team losing the services of Kwame Jones, Simon Jackson and Rob Browne plus their lengthly injury list Marc Garrod, Sam Page and Andy Clitheroe were promoted to the first team.
Kingo, Ross Jones were promoted to the bench and George Watts was give his first start of the league campaign.
Hempnall began the match poorly and this continued throughout the first half with the opposition looking dangerous from every throw in / set piece
After a couple of scares Hempnall fell behind when a set piece was headed home by the tall Aylsham midfielder.
Hempnall still struggled to compete with their physical opponents and after a free kick was awarded for what seemed to be a fair tackle Hempnall fell further behind.
Hempnall regrouped at half time and came out for the 2nd half knowing the next goal would be very important. After starting the second half brightly Hempnall were caught with a sucker punch as a long throw in was headed home by D. Brown.
At 3-0 game and with nothing to lose Hempnall pushed players forward and made changes in personnel. One of the substitutes Lewis Allen reduced the arrears when his cross shot sailed over the helpless goalkeeper.
Hempnall didn't deserve anymore out of this game as they didn't create any chances and were dominated by their physical opponents.
Roll on next week against Harleston, where 3 points are a must before the two week cup break.
