After the 3-1 reversal and the season far Ross Potter and Dave Garrod felt that changes were necessary to suit the style of play.

Gav Whiting started his first game of the season and was joined in attack by Kingo with Lee Barrett moving to the left. Gareth Motteram was back between the sticks and Andy Clitheroe returned to the reserves from the first team.

Hempnall began the game strongly with Gav Whiting, Kingo and Clitheroe causing the Harleston defence problems.

It was no surprise when Clitheroe got away down the right and cut the ball back to Dom Jones who side footed home his 3rd goal of the season.

Harleston then stepped up their game and the game was very end to end with Hempnall attacking in numbers then Harleston breaking on them.

After a couple of scares, Hempnall increased their lead when a corner was only cleared as far as Gav Whiting who rolled the ball to Ross Potter and he rifled home from the edge of the box.

Harleston got back into the game before half time after a long range shot was only parried as far as Jordan Rocastle who smashed the ball high into the roof of the net.

HT : 2-1

The second half was a lot more cagey than the first with Harleston trying to exert some pressure by playing a high line and Hempnall looking to break.

Hempnall should have increased their lead as Potter, Jones, Clitheroe and Whiting all missed chances.

With 20 minutes left, Dom Jones sealed the win as he bundled the ball home from a corner. This was Jones' 4th goal in 4 games.

Hempnall rode out the final few minutes of pressure to secure another 3 points, a great away win.

Credit to all the boys for the win and for attending training Tuesday to iron out the small tactical issues.
