Hempnall welcomed Loddon Reserves to Bungay Road looking to avenge the 3-0 reverse in December, their only loss on the road this season.

Ian Garrod and Lee Emmett replaced Ben Nicholls and Jamie Pretty in the starting line up in an otherwise unchanged team.

Hempnall took to the field sporting their new Holden sponsored kit.

The game began with Hempnall battlling hard in the first 15 minutes but their was little goalmouth action. This was soon to change though with Hempnall gaining control.

Shots started to rain in on the Loddon goal only to be thwarted by some good goalkeeping and some great defensive blocks as the Loddon defenders put their bodies on the line much like in the first game. It was very nearly a similar story as Loddon broke away and only a goal line clearance from Ian Garrod stopped Loddon scoring against the run of play.

Shortly after, Hempnall took the lead as the Loddon defence backed off and Lee Barrett let fly from 30 yards and the goalkeeper dropped the ball over the line.
Minutes later it was 2-0 as Barrett got onto a through ball from Matt Barrett down the right and pulled the ball back for Clitheroe to score and it was 3-0 not soon after as after a first shot was blocked Lee Barrett lifted the ball into the roof of the net.

HT : 3-0

Hempnall set out to put the game beyond their opponents and increased their lead when Matt Barrett again played his brother in, this time down the left and he crossed for Gav Whiting to slot home. Hempnall then relaxed and had a couple of scares as Loddon hit the woodwork. Changes were made with Ross 'Sibieski' Jones and Quinnie introduced and both had chances to score with the goalkeeper saving from Jones when through and Quinnie being thwarted by a last gasp tackle.

FT : 4-0

A good win for Hempnall to consolidate their lead at the top. Thanks must go to our sponsors Holden Motors, to Baz for the millionaire shortbread and to Anders Limpar for his support on the sideline!!
