Anglian Combination D2 » Reserves v Sprowston Athletic Res » Home Win » 6-0 | League Table
Hempnall welcomed Sprowston Athletic Res to Bungay Road looking for a drastic improvement on the performance from the week before.
Beetenson in goal and Garrod in the middle of midfield returned to the side and Chrystall being added the line up for his first start for the Reserves this season.
Despite the pre match team talk asking Hempnall to start quickly they began the game slowly allowing their opponents to pass the ball unopposed and giving the ball away each time an attack began to develop.
In spite of this Hempnall took the lead when Potter played the ball through the midfield to Chrystall who played a one-two with Whitting before putting the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper.
Hempnall extended their lead minutes later when Lee 'Roberto Carlos' Emmett attacked down the left. His long range strike was deflected in at the near post, will leave it up to the dubious goals panel to decide if it will go down as an Emmett goal or an og!!
HT : 2-0
Hempnall's half Time team talk centred around players working harder when without the ball and keeping it better when we gained possession as Sprowston were there for the taking.
The players took this on board and went on to dominate the second half with Chrystall adding 3 more and Lee Barrett opening his account for the season.
FT : 6-0
The six nil result will hopefully breed confidence within the team after a difficult first few games where the performances hadn't accrued the points the team deserved.
Having played four games in the division now it is apparent that the opposition are not much better than that of last year.
The season starts here....
UTH!!!
