Matt Oakley retiring from team management

Due to family and work commitments, Matt has found it difficult to fit in all of his domestic and football duties, and has decided to stand down with immediate effect.
This came as a shock to us all, but fortunately for the Club, Matt is still intending to maintain an active role within the Club.
All of us at the Club are extremely grateful to Matt for continuing to run the Reserves over the years, despite the difficulties first team call-ups, reducing player commitment, (often seeking players at short notice to fill in for others), plus and all the other usual problems faced at grass-roots level, have created.
It is remarkable he has managed to keep his enthusiasm over the years, but he has a great back up in Clare (and Esme, of course), to whom he is devoting more time to their needs at weekends.
