Hempnall F.C. Reserves v Hindringham Res

Joint Managers (Managers)
Report By Joint Managers (Managers)

Saturday, 11th October 2014, 2:30PM, at Hempnall #1

Home Match, Anglian Combination Division 4 - 2014 - 2015

Win, 2 - 0

Hempnall Reserves entertained bottom of the table Hindringham Reserves, at Bungay Road.
With both teams looking for three points to kick-start their seasons, we witnessed an entertaining encounter.

Hempnall were the better side overall, and gained the three points with two well taken goals from the excellent Charlie Lambe, who not only scored, but ran the opposition ragged with his fine runs.

The Hempnall defence, well marshalled by Adams and Docherty, gave Hindringham few chances, the Hempnall keeper only having one meaningful save to make, though he looked good and secure throughout.

The midfield was dominated by Storey and Edwards, whose fine work gave the ever running Munro plenty to go at.

Hempnall probably could have scored more but for sterling work by the Hindringham keeper.

Like their first team colleagues the week before, the Hindringham lads were a credit to their Club, and we look forward to seeing Hindringham back here in the future.

Special thanks go to stand-in referee, Michael Mann, who turned up at short notice and did a fine job.
